Bret Gibson

Fitness Director

“A little bit about me… the fitness me. My journey to fitness started as a young competitive athlete. I gravitated towards baseball and even worked my tail off all the way through the collegiate ranks. Being a highly competitive athlete forced me to push my mind and body to the limits. Thus, I naturally adopted fitness and overall wellness as an integral part of my life. My unrelenting passion and zeal for overall health wellness ultimately carried over into my decision to pursue a career in fitness. My transition into fitness as a career started in the trenches at California State University East Bay, as a student in Kinesiology, Athletic Training. In this environment I specialized in rehabilitation, corrective exercise, and performance enhancement. I also served as an assistant at a Sports Performance Physical Therapy center where I worked alongside Sports Performance Coaches and Physical Therapists. I continued my education as a graduate student in Kinesiology, Exercise Science with an emphasis in Biomechanics. Then worked full time as one of the Master Personal Trainers at 24 Hour Fitness. Although well versed in a variety of contexts, I specialize in applied kinesiology and biomechanics as it relates to human performance and wellness. Certified through the renowned American College of Sports Medicine, I am qualified to work with a wide variety of populations. When I am not lifting heavy stuff off the floor myself, I am in the business of making bodies look as good as they perform! I’ll make sure that people are getting the most out of their fitness programs both physically and mentally. I believe that we should all move well and move often and be strong in a variety of different contexts!”
