What is Pilates?
Pilates is an integrated exercise technique that seeks to actively engage the mind and the body together. The three overlying principles of Pilates are whole-body health, whole-body commitment and breath. These principles, along with the others taught by our Pilates professionals, provide you with focus, depth and layers of learning in the technique. You’ll develop:

  • Mental concentration

  • Precision of movement
  • Alignment & balanced muscle development
  • Centering
  • Rhythm & grace of movement
  • Flowing movement

Pilates instruction at Rollingwood
We offer Pilates mat classes and Pilates inspired classes on the Group Exercise Schedules. These classes are complimentary to club members. Please see the group exercise schedule for a complete menu of Pilates mat classes.

Experience The Pilates Reformer
Rollingwood Pilates ReformerRollingwood provides one-on-one and duet personal training sessions using the Pilates Reformer and other small apparatus. The Reformer is a specialized piece of equipment that uses spring based resistance providing the strengthening benefits to the core, arms and legs and stretching of the entire body.

Group Reformer Classes
Our group Reformer classes consist of 3 individuals working together each on a Reformer. All training sessions and classes are taught by certified, experienced Pilates instructors who provide the supervision and feedback necessary to perform the exercises safely and effectively.
