Clinics are designed for swimmers who participate on a summer recreational team and want to continue learning and improving throughout the fall season. This program will emphasize proper stroke development using drills, games, and other teaching techniques. It is not intended to be a conditioning program, but because of the amount of swimming involved and the technical nature of the workouts, the clinic is only open to kids who have already been on a swim team.
Although it is not required, swimmers will be encouraged to register with “USA SWIMMING” so they are eligible participate in fall meets hosted by USA teams such as the Sierra Marlins and California Capital Aquatics. Our annual “Pumpkin Meet” (an in-house meet with additional fun events) will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22nd. The Head Coach for the clinic is Kim Berrios, who has been involved with the Rockets’ Swim Team since 1988. Other coaches are Kainoa Pistorius, Denise Steeb, and Malissa Cenatiempo.
