Benefits of Personal Training
Ever wonder if personal trainers are worth the money? Wonder no more! They can help make such a difference in your workout and the results you get. I know many times, I would talk myself out of going to the gym, just because…. The trouble is there are soooo many excuses! I wouldn’t do it if there was someone waiting for me and cared about me, like a trainer.
Benefits of Personal Training
#1. Accountability- people tend to stick with their fitness commitments when they are accountable to another person, even more so when they are investing more than just time into it!
#2. Personal Program Development- a trainer develops a fitness program based on your SPECIFIC goals. If you have any chronic health conditions, injuries or training goals ( like running a marathon!) a trainer will work with you and any healthcare provider to develop a plan that addresses these needs and enables you to reach your goals.
#3. Motivation- one of the main reasons people benefit from a personal trainer is they lack the motivation to stick with a consistent exercise program. Personal trainers can provide a safe plan, with structure that helps you develop a lifestyle that encourages health.
#4. Efficiency- Personal trainers help you focus on results and stop wasting your time doing inefficient workouts. With a personal trainer you have someone who had developed a plan to get you the maximum result in the minimum amount of time.
#5. Safety- A personal trainer watches your form and provides objective feedback. As much as 65% of those who have never worked out before injure themselves in some way from training incorrectly within the first 6 weeks. Many people tend to ignore the subtle signals the body provides and either push through the pain, or continue exercising improperly. A trainer is there to keep you safe and will push you or slow you down as necessary.
#6. Change Shape (Lose or Gain Weight)- the biggest reason people hire a trainer is to ‘get in shape’…and it works! If you make a resolution to get in shape to lose fat, build muscle, and/or increase your cardiovascular health, a trainer can break that goal down for you and show you how to reach it.
#7. Improve Technical Skills- sport specific training by a trainer will help you improve your skills by showing you new training techniques. The trainer incorporates skills training into your program so you improve strength, endurance, flexibility and agility.
#8. Break through Plateau’s- If you are stuck in the same routine and just aren’t seeing any changes or improvements, a personal trainer is the perfect solution. A trainer will jump start your routine as well as your motivation, getting you back on track in the shortest possible time.
